WebQ 4

1. Who was Alfred Stieglitz and why is he noteworthy in the history of photography?
 He was an American photographer and a modern art promoter. He lived from 1864-1946 and he is noteworthy in the history of photography because he worked hard on the idea to promote fine art. He was the creator of Camera Notes and Camera Work.

2. It's interesting how he uses the space in this photo to include the wet street. About half of the picture is the street, it makes it seem vast and unending.



3. With what famous painter was he in a relationship? Who was she? 
 He was married to Georgia Totto O'Keeffe, a famous painter who was part of the New York art commitee.



How did they influence each other in their art making?
    After they married, Alfred took many pictures of her and most are very well known.
